Welcome to Glebe

Our core values are: Nurture Inspire Challenge

Glebe Primary School is a popular and successful community primary school in the coastal town of Southwick. The learning at Glebe is ‘irresistible’. Our children achieve well and make good progress through creative and innovative cross curricular activities, good teaching and a supportive, happy environment. We work hard to Nurture, Inspire and Challenge all our pupils.

We learn within the context of strong British values and our curriculum reflects a sense of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. You are always welcome to visit and find out more.

If you would like more information or require paper copies of any of the documents you find on the website, please ask at the school office and we will provide them.

Royal Society Young People's Book Prize

In July, our Chatterbooks group took on the challenge of reviewing brand new science related books for the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize. The aim of this is to inspire young people to read about science and promote the writing of excellent accessible books for under 14s.

The Chatterbooks group read and reviewed each book and we took photos, recorded their comments and made a video of the process. There are prizes for the best reviewing panel - so fingers crossed for Glebe!  We invited some former Glebies back to join in for the final review session, so it's also a great opportunity to celebrate collaboration with Year 7 students from Shoreham Academy.
